Message from Secretary General
“United Nations is our one great hope for a peaceful and free world”

-Ralph Bunche

AXIS’19 takes immense pleasure to announce the organisation of the AXIS MUN, for the first time ever in VNIT. Premiering this February is a pride igniting a zeal within us to commemorate the start of this wonder, which has been inspiring lives throughout all over the world for a better cause. A Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations. While the direct lessons from MUNs are manifold, the indirect benefits are the ones that stay with you for a lifetime. So this year, gear up for an experience like never before, where you magnify views from all directions of the room and in the journey solidify your own. The AXIS team hopes to receive humongous interest and participation for when it’s about modelling the future with our very own hands, who wouldn’t came and delegate their lives out.

Yours diplomatically,
Himanshu Tambe,
Secretary General,
AXIS MUN 2019.

Message from Director General
“More than ever before in human history, we share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together. And that, my friends, is why we have the United Nations.”

-Kofi Annan .

The world has changed its course in politics many times. Foreign policies of nations have taken steep turns, enemies have become allies and allies have become enemies. However, as Kofi Annan beautifully said that our final destiny is same. History will testify that our interdependence only increases with time. It is easy to adopt and enact “beggar be thy neighbour” policies. In fact, many countries have adopted this system. What is tough is to act in a manner in which everybody’s interests are been taken care of. And in such situations what should be the role of our young minds, the probable leaders of tomorrow? It is now time to find the hidden diplomat under us The Legacy is the footprint of the visionaries who have given their blood, sweat, and tears to build this conference from the ground up. It is the sense of fraternity that we’ve built through our inclusive approach to success. It is the promise that the bonds you make and the knowledge you gain will stay with you for a lifetime, irrespective of what capacity you participate in.And thus I am proud to present you the very 1st edition of AXIS MUN 2018 as the Director General.

Yours diplomatically,
Ira Kamble,
Director General,
AXIS MUN 2019.
